New Accounts:
Most of the accounts created for you on UTHSCSA systems will operate on a single password known as
your UTHSCSA Domain Password. These accounts include your UTHSCSA Exchange email account, VPN,
the inside.uthscsa.edu portal, the HSCAir wireless network, the Knowledge Center training system, and even WebCT.
UTHSCSA provides a website where you can change your own password: https://pwr.uthscsa.edu
- Begin by providing your UTHSCSA Username.
- If you have previously visited the PWR site and provided answers to the security questions, you may authenticate yourself by selecting ‘Answer personal questions’. If you have not pre-answered your security questions, you will need to authenticate by providing your current password.
- Once authenticated, you will be able to:
- Pick a new password
- Add/Edit answers to personal security questions – taking advantage of this feature is highly recommended
If you are unable to use the self-service system to reset your password, you may come in person during regular business hours to the Triage Helpdesk or to the main desk of either the Dolph Briscoe Library (main campus) or the RAHC Library. You will need to bring a picture ID. Requests for password resets can not be accepted by email. If you are unable to use the self-service site, or if you need additional assistance, please contact the Triage Helpdesk by phone (210) 567-2069, by email at Triage@uthscsa.edu, or in person in our offices in Room 436.L in the Medical School on the main campus. Additional Password Information:
- UTHSCSA domain passwords must be reset at least once every 60 days.
- You may not re-use previous passwords.
