- Approval of Minutes
- The minutes of the May 18 meeting were unanimously approved as distributed.
- Webmaster's Report
- Jim Barrett said Jim Allan, webmaster at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, has agreed to lead sessions about web accessibility and usability. Barrett said he hoped to schedule the sessions in August.
- Barrett presented the internal portal page inside.uthscsa.edu, and said he had made changes to it as suggested by committee members. The committee directed him to post it for use.
- Old Business
- The committee agreed to recommend Dreamwaver and FrontPage as web editing tools, and agreed to request training for people who want to use either editor. The committee said that a comparison of WYSIWYG web editing software at the WebTeam website should place a statement saying that those who choose any web editor should check with their server administrator before using the editor.
- New Business
- Ida Garcia of Academic Informatics Services presented a brochure that described the use policies for the WebCT and Blackboard server. She said the information would be posted at the division's website along with a form faculty members could submit to request use of the server.
