1. Approval of Minutes
   • The minutes of the April 20 meeting were unanimously approved as distributed.
2. Webmaster's Report
   • Jim Barrett showed an internal webpage, inside.uthscsa.edu, and described its purpose. The goal is to provide helpful links to documents and websites for faculty/staff. He said the page would be tested by volunteers from the Academic Council with a goal of publishing the page in August.
   • Jim provided Georgia Harper's description of a pending UT System web advertising policy. This policy states that components such as the HSC would be required to prepare guidelines describing how advertising would be handled.
3. Old Business
   • Comparison of WYSIWYG web editing software worksheet was provided to the committee.
4. New Business
   • Address the challenges of creating a community among webmasters to utilize expertise.
   • Meet the challenges of new technology such as Palm Pilot publishing and cell phones with Internet access without compromising security and privacy.
5. Adjournment
   • The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m. The next general meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. on July 20, 2001, in Computing Resources room 494L.
